Just a quickie….

At the police station to get fingerprints for a new job with the city, a young lady wearing a hijab and I stood across from a volunteer finger-printer. The older female volunteer explained the fingerprint form as we filled it out. “On this line you put the country where you were born. You write U.S.A and you (indicating the young lady) put whatever country you were born in.” The young lady quickly replied, “I was born here in Denver.” I added, “And I was born in Germany.”
